2022 - Photos MMVS Day Celebration
MMVS Day was observed at our church on Sunday, August 21, on the auspicious occasion of the 40th anniversary of Morth Mariam Vanitha Samajam in the NorthEast American Diocese. A token of appreciation was presented to the previous MMVS office bearers by the vicar during a brief meeting held after the Holy Qurbana. Anni Varughese, a senior MMVS member, gave a brief acknowledgement on behalf of all the former office bearers. The meeting ended with a Photo session.
2022 - Photos MMVS Charity Drive
Initiated by our parish MMVS, a charity drive was held on 20th of August 2022. A portion of money earned from the bake sale in June as well as donations from members were used for this. Additionally, there were necessaries which MMVS members donated. Packets for women and children and a cheque were handed over to the Ernestine Women’s Shelter at Etobicoke, on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

2022 - Anniversary 40th Anniversary of the Diocesan MMVS in North America
40th Anniversary of the Diocesan MMVS in North America
The Diocese has planned the following events to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the MMVS in North America:
1. 40th-anniversary ceremony will be held on October 1, 2022, at St Thomas Indian Orthodox Church in Unruh, Philadelphia.
2. Women who were a part of the MMVS prior to 1982 are being honoured.
3. Provide educational assistance to 40 children for a year. A raffle voucher sale will be held for this purpose. Each family can purchase a raffle ticket for $40 USD. Please save a dollar every day during Great Lent and participate in the raffle coupon sale. There’s also the option of sponsoring a child for a year. The expense for this is $1500 US dollars.
The raffle coupon draw will take place on October 1st, 2022 during the anniversary ceremony.
